Citadel of Arg-e Bam, more than 2000 years old, built during the Parthian Empire (248 BC - 224 AD) was one of the most important cities on the Silk Road. In full reconstruction after the 2003 earthquake, I am almost completely destroyed. One of the largest adobe buildings in the world, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 .Bam.
